EndNote training for nursing students:

Tuesday 19 April 10am and 1pm
Tuesday 3 May 10am and 1pm

Come at lunchtime 12:00 – 1:00pm or from 1:00 – 2:00pm any Monday or Wednesday for help with EndNote or searching the Databases. We can give you the extra assistance you may need to help you with your research. No need to make a booking – just notify the person at the Library Loans Desk that you are there for training.

Tutoring

Tutoring is available for Lake Macquarie Campus students in the Dyson-Williams Study Room (on the top floor of the Library) Monday to Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm. Evening sessions also available Monday and Thursday 7:00pm-9:00pm and Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30pm -9:30pm during each semester.

Lobster Shells

Books are like lobstershells – we grow out of our old favourites and graduate to the new as we get older. Avondale College is offering HSC students the opportunity to get a head start on tertiary education by opening their library, with its wealth of resources, to local High Schools. W113 Computer Lab

The W113 computer lab is now open from 5:30am to 12 midnight Sunday to Thursday and 5:30am to 4:30pm on Friday.

A printer/copier/scanner is available. Print credit may be purchased at the Library Loans Desk.

Holiday Hours

Library Opening Hours
LMC Library

Reduced operating hours will commence on Tuesday 22 November at 5pm until Friday 9 December
Monday – Thursday:  9am – 5pm
Friday:  9am – 12 noon
Sunday: Closed

Non-semester opening hours will commence on Monday 12 December
Monday – Thursday:  1pm – 5 pm
Friday:  9am – 12 noon
Sunday:  Closed
The LMC Library will be closed to all patrons from Monday 19 December and will reopen on Monday 9 January 2012

Sydney Library
Non-semester operating hours will commence on Monday 28 November through to 10 February 2012
Monday – Thursday:   8am – 6pm
Friday: 8am – 3pm
Sunday:  Closed

The Sydney Library will be closed to all patrons from 6pm Wednesday 21 December and will reopen on Tuesday 3 January, 2012

New Catalogue search option

Try our new catalogue search using Primo and tell us what you think. 
 
Primo catalogue searching is our first step towards Primo Central – a one stop (or federated) search facility which will allow you to search the Library’s catalogue, online databases and ResearchOnline@Avondale all at once. Primo Central will be implemented in December 2011.
