Lecture: Nathan Brown

August 6, 2016, 3.00 PM-4.30 PM

Nathan Brown

Author Nathan Brown speaks about his friendship with former Seventh-day Adventist minister Ryan Bell, whose year-without-God experiment led to Bell becoming an atheist.

Bell’s experience challenged Brown’s faith and led to the writing of Why I Try to Believe.

In “Why I Try to Believe: The stories—and the faith—around the book,” Brown will reflect on his conversations about the book and its publication and on what the mix of responses tells us about the Adventist Church, the Adventist faith and how Adventists talk about these questions.

Includes: free copy of Why I Try to Believe.

Presenter

Nathan Brown. Brown is Book Editor at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific’s Signs Publishing. He is a former magazine editor, a published writer and an author or editor of a dozen books. He is also a co-convener of Manifest, a community exploring, encouraging and celebrating faithful creativity.
