Cited for gospel conviction and commitment to Great Commission

Lloyd Grolimund is a fourth generation Seventh-day Adventist thanks to the influence of colporteur Charles Watson, who later become president of the worldwide church. Watson visited Lloyd’s great-grandfather and grandmother on their farm in remote Victoria not long after they began keeping the Sabbath. Following his grandfather and father into ministry, Lloyd’s goal is to “take the gospel to as many people as will listen to me.”

Avondale helped shaped Lloyd’s life, in particular his conversion to Jesus Christ. “I first experienced that deep, born-again relationship and felt privileged to learn under Godly teachers.” His education gave him the knowledge and the skills to meet “the challenges in my ministry and my life.”

A former builder, Lloyd moved into youth ministry on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and in North New Zealand in the decade after graduation. He then accepted a call to Sydney as minister of the Wahroonga church, where he served for almost 15 years. He is now minister at the New Hope church and Speaker/Director of the Aussie Pastor Media Network.

In keeping with his Aussie Pastor persona, Lloyd spends his spare time on a hobby farm and enjoys cricket, gardening and YouTube. He is also an avid reader.

Lloyd is father of four young adult children, Hannah, Daniel, Danae and Emmanuelle, and husband of Maylizca.

The Class of 1990 honours Pr Lloyd Grolimund for a gospel conviction that demands commitment to the Great Commission.
