Centenarians’ return an early graduation gift
Avondale Alumni welcomed these great dames—Elma Coombe (left) and Fern Parr (middle) are centenarians and Betty Nixon (right) a nonagenarian—back to the Lake Macquarie campus this past week and gave them a trencher. They all graduated within a year of each other; Elma (1939) from the teaching course and Fern (1940) and Betty (1939) from business.
