Also featuring: Avondale College of Higher Education vocal ensemble The Promise.

Biographies

Dr Lyell Heise is Director of the Institute of Worship and a Conjoint Senior Lecturer in the seminary at Avondale College of Higher Education. He trained in music and theology at Avondale, Andrews University (Berrien Springs, Michigan, USA) and Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, California, USA). He has wide experience in music ministry and in senior church pastoral leadership in several countries. Lyell began playing piano at age five and fell in love with hymns soon after. He memorised many of the words and music of The Church Hymnal and the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal that replaced it.

Rey Lecciones, a graduate (2004 and 2005) of the School of Aviation at Avondale College of Higher Education, is an administrator of a pilot training school in Western Australia. Rey learned violin from age five and played in symphony orchestras in the Philippines. He is now Concert Master of Hills Symphony in Perth and Musical Director of Perth Adventist Orchestra.
