Sandplay Workshop

April 9, 2017, 9.30 AM

$165.00

Want a new way to work with your psychology clients?

Sandplay therapy provides opportunities to explore hidden emotions and to give voice to feelings not heard.

Based on the psychodynamics constructs of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, sandplay therapy is especially useful in counselling children.

This workshop is an introduction to this fascinating way of influencing clients. It will increase understanding of self, of what your unconscious may express and of metaphor and symbol.

Presented by the Discipline of Humanities and Creative Arts at Avondale College of Higher Education.

Facilitator

Margaret Welch, Senior Counsellor and Supervisor, Salvos Counselling.

Margaret uses Sandplay with children, adolescents and adults in her own therapeutic practice. She facilitates professional development workshops in Sydney and on the Central Coast, presents seminars on grief and loss and lectures in a master’s degree counselling program in Sydney.

Margaret has a master’s degree in counselling, is an accredited supervisor and is a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
