An idea is only a beginning. But an idea that is shared and shaped becomes a possibility and, eventually, reality.
That is the purpose of TK, an online magazine of news, reviews and perspectives, produced by Avondale College of Higher Education, Signs Publishing and Manifest.
Previously known as Connections, TK has been publishing announcements, event listings, news and features since 1987. Avondale’s Advancement Office publishes about 30 issues of TK during the academic year. All content is available on the Avondale News blog.
The name, TK, means “to come”. It is an abbreviation of a reference used in publishing to show that more material is coming. In our publishing context, it means accepting the challenge of learning and discovery—the sharing of ideas. It also means using this knowledge to improve lives—the shaping of ideas.
The message: you have been given the power to think and do.
TK believes in publishing that is careful and thoughtful, writing that is creative and credible and readers who are accountable and engaged. The aim: to share and shape ideas about life and faith through healthy conversations. To make what is to come better than what has become.
