Winners share $1500 in prize money
Vocalist Nadine Keioskie, Nigel King of Variety Bucket and guitarist Luke Turner-Mann were among the students competing for $1500 in prize money at Avondale’s Got Talent on Saturday. First place getters in each of four categories received $150. The roll call of winners: Variety Bucket (“Dance”—the audience also judged the troupe as “Crowd Favourite”); saxophone duo Lachlan Campbell and Jared Smith (“Instrumental”); Leigha Tew (her spoken word presentation, “Stranger Danger,” won the “Other” category); and Dayna Petrie (“Vocal”).
