The New England Youth Ensemble (NEYE) is one of the most internationally traveled youth or student orchestras in North America. NEYE performs many standard orchestra classics as well as pieces alongside the Columbia Collegiate Chorale. The mission of NEYE: to bring great music to a searching world that is performed, in the words of J S Bach, “to the Glory of God and the Refreshment of the Spirit.”
The Columbia Collegiate Chorale regularly performs a cappella and accompanied works and maintains a heavy performance schedule. Incorporated within the chorale is a smaller select chamber choir, the equivalent of Avondale’s The Promise. The chorale’s mission: to represent the best of American culture and the finest of Christian values through the study and performance of the sacred music of the great masters.
Freewill offering collected to support touring expenses.
Evensong is a free meditative and reflective recital presented by the Conservatorium of Music at Avondale College of Higher Education as part of the Avondale Concert Series.
