Scholarship Competition Terms and Conditions

The ‘Be a Success at ABS’ competition offers some exciting and generous prizes!

The prizes/scholarships will be awarded under the following conditions:

  1. The cash component of each prize will be deposited in the recipient’s nominated account within 7 days of official notification.
  2. The scholarship component of each prize will be awarded in two equal instalments, one each semester and can be applied to either tuition or residence.
  3. The scholarship is available to any Yr 12 student from Australia who has citizenship or permanent residence in any of the states or territories within this country.
  4. The scholarship is not transferrable.
  5. The recipient would need to commence study in a degree course at Avondale Business School with a full-time study load, within two and a half years of being officially notified of their success.
  6. This scholarship is independent of any other scholarship being awarded to the prospective student and can be awarded with another Avondale scholarship.
  7. The scholarship is awarded subject to the applicant meeting normal admission requirements into a degree course and will be implemented once all academic enrolment procedures are finalised.
  8. The semester value of the scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s account at enrolment and cannot be redeemed in cash, in whole or in part.
  9. If the conditions of the scholarship are no longer being met at census date the scholarship will be discontinued.
  10. The recipient must undertake a full time study load of 4 units per semester. Any approved cross-institutional study will be included when determining a student’s study load for each semester.
  11. Continuance of the scholarship for the second semester of study is contingent upon satisfactory academic progress.
  12. All scholarship recipients should be in good standing in the community. Scholarships or part thereof may be revoked at the discretion of the disciplinary Committee where the recipient brings Avondale’s name into disrepute.
