NOT FOR PROFIT SECTOR SURVEY 2013/14

GRANT THORNTON

Grant Thornton have released their 2013/14 survey into the not for profit (NFP) sector.

Of particular interest to SDA Entities in Australia and NZ are the following points:

  • NFP’s in both Australia and New Zealand are actively trying to lift their professional standards of governance;
  • The differences between Australian and New Zealand are few;
  • There is a limited pool of money (no surprises there!) and the pressure are growing in being able to access this pool;
  • NFP Boards are “…increasingly being run by experienced people, typically from a business background.” (Grant Thornton, 2013)
