Lecture series to look beyond UK’s Leveson Inquiry

Who guards the guardians? British Prime Minister David Cameron announced the Leveson Inquiry in the wake of the News International phone-hacking scandal to answer this question. Part one has seen Lord Justice Leveson examine the culture, practices and ethics of the press and, in particular, the relationship of the press with the public, police and politicians. So, beyond Leveson, what is there to learn about propaganda, pantomime and the power of the press? Richard Keeble, professor of journalism at the University of Lincoln, will speak about this in an Avondale Lecture Series event in Ladies Chapel on Tuesday (September 10) at 9 AM.
