Celebrate the role of women in ministry, the launch of the book, South Pacific Perspectives on Ordination, and the renaming of Ladies Chapel.

Featuring: A conversation about women in ministry by women in ministry hosted by Women in Ministry trustees Drs Bryan Craig and Lyell Heise.

Includes: Kara Dale, associate minister of the Springwood Seventh-day Adventist Church; Jody Eddy, mother of two, part-time associate minister at Warburton Seventh-day Adventist Church and former president of FigTree, the Avondale Seminary staff and student association; Kylie Cullinan, the first commissioned female pastor to work for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Victoria and the first to work—as a departmental director—for the church in the New Zealand Pacific; and Dr Drene Somasundram, chaplain and lecturer on Avondale’s Sydney campus who developed a more gender inclusive model of theological training from the findings and the recommendations of the women she interviewed for her Doctorate in Professional Studies and the first woman employed as a field minister by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the United Kingdom.

Also featuring: launch of South Pacific Perspectives on Ordination: Biblical, Theological and Historical Studies in an Adventist Context.

Presented by Avondale College of Higher Education, Women in Ministry and Avondale Academic Press with Avondale Seminary, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific.
