Messiah Wahroonga

A performance of George Frideric Handel’s greatest oratorio presented by Avondale Conservatorium. Featuring Avondale Chamber Orchestra, Avondale Singers and soloists Marian Moroney (soprano), Kathryn Dries (alto), Michael Francis (tenor) and Ian Fisher (bass).

Composed in 1741, this celebration of Jesus as Messiah called Christ—covering the prophecies about him and his annunciation, passion and resurrection—still inspires joy and wonder.
