Viva La France!

Dr Ian Cook from Avondale Conservatorium brings his Newcastle Youth Orchestra back to campus for a concert featuring mezzo-soprano Deborah Humble, a principal artist with Opera Australia.

The suite of French performances includes Camille Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony, popularised by the movie Babe, two pieces from Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen and others from Samson and Delilah, My Fair Lady and The Merry Widow.

All tickets support the Newcastle Youth Orchestra. The orchestra helps young musicians pursue their love of music and create, collaborate and contribute to the cultural life of our community.

Doors open 6.45 pm.
