Like father, like son. Jesse Fua will graduate next Sunday (April 10) with a major in health and physical education, the same subject in which his dad, Paul, would end up teaching. The two are now colleagues at Tweed Valley Adventist College, where Paul is principal.

Teacher-to-be transforms others

The dedication of a high school maths teacher had a big impact on Louise Huang. She wanted to be a doctor but, with COVID on the mind, wondered about some of the associated risks. “He asked if I’d consider teaching. ‘No way,’ I said. Then I realised how much he and my other teachers encouraged and inspired me.” Now Louise is doing the same with students in her community.
