The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) have signed a memorandum of understanding with Avondale College of Higher Education to provide our students with the opportunity to become members of CIMA upon graduation. The CIMA is the world’s largest professional body of management accountants, with the most useful accounting qualification for a career in business.
This is a great opportunity for students to gain an international qualification should they choose to undertake the Accounting major. It also provides students with access to resources, and ability to read their publication “Strategic Finance”.
The agreement includes 10 scholarships to be provided to graduating students over the next few years to enable them to undertake the exams for the qualification of Certificate in Business Accounting (CIMA CERT BA) as follows.
