Musicians from near and far will celebrate the true meaning of Easter in a free concert at Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church next weekend.

Psalter Music artists such as Avondale College of Higher Education vocal ensemble The Promise and others are donating their time to support Celebrate Easter. Organiser Daniel Laredo says it will be a reflective concert “to remind everyone about the biblical story of Easter.” The Avondale Bachelor of Arts (Music) student and Promise member wants the focus to be on the story of salvation—of how Christ sacrificed Himself for humanity so we may have eternal life.

Sharing Daniel and The Promise’s passion for ministry are fellow Psalter artists Anna Weatherup and Leoni Gardner and others such as Susan James and Joel Pakoti.

Avondale, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific’s Institute of Worship and Psalter are sponsoring Celebrate Easter. The concert will also serve as a fundraiser for The Promise, which is touring the West Coast of the United States later in the year.

Celebrate Easter begins in Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church at 7.00 PM on Saturday, April 16.
